I love the food, but hate the service...everytime, it's the same thing. I have been going there for 2.5 years, and have yet once to leave where I have found the service to be excellent. I always ask for the bill to be split @ the beginning of the order, it's not hard, 1 food item on 1 bill, 1 food item on another bill. Customer service is extremely poor, who tells a paying customer that "no, we don't do that".
My first time at this restaurant. It was raved about by the others in my party, and we ordered their favourites. The house shrimp is perhaps the best dish I have ever had...EVER. Large plump shrimp perfectly cooked (i.e. not overdone)in a flawless light breading, deliciously seasoned, with noted flavour of garlic and chillis. Loved the fact that there were Indian-inspired dishes on the menu to mix things up a bit. All of the food was delicious, and our servers were smiling and attentive. Recieved a friendly thank-you and good-bye on our way out the door. I am looking forward to introducing this find to many others. I'll definitely go again!
I go to Lin Garden frequently, and it's quite frankly the best Chinese food I've ever had. Full of flavour, and always very filling. The portions are much larger than wehat you'd expect for the price you pay. Yes, the place is VERY busy, so most of the time, I get take-out, but the owner and staff are really pleasant, but extremely busy. They get a LOT of people in there every day, which goes to show its popularity.

There are a few Hakka Chinese restaurants in Toronto (Scarborough), but we normally find ourselves at Lin Garden rather than the others. We have been going here for years....and the food is always excellent.....always a pleasure to eat Lin...thanks for the other posters on this site for the recommendation of the Green Beans, that is something that we will DEFINITELY be adding to the other favourites!!!
