This is one of those places that has got a great combination - incredible amount of well prepared food, that is of superior quality to most other Japanese restaurants. Truly a gem - If you're going for lunch with a big crowd, get there early (11:45AM) or you'll be waiting for a while. Otherwise, they usually have plenty of room
Food for thought: This restaurant has incredible turn over. They value efficiency. For example, if, when ordering, you take 5 minutes and haven't thought ahead, they will ignore you. If you take 2-3 minutes ahead of time and figure out what you'd like to eat, and then flag down a waiter, they'll treat you well.
great Japanese stuff-your-face-with-food place, go with empty stomach and big appetite and you will be amazed. MDJ is one of those special spots where they do thing differently. You read off menu items to a waiter, anything you want to eat, anything. 10 minutes later they food is delivered. The food is better than this one Japanese restaurant I wen to to that charged and arm and a leg for sushi and tempura.

This used to be our regular Japanese AYCE place, but we started eating too much of it so we haven't gone back in some time.
It's a good place to go though. The food is good and the service is good. I can't remember anything that was really great but, it was satisfactory.
You should try it : )
We've been to a number of AYCE Japanese restaurants and this one is by far the best. Fresh food, good variety, speedy service and they actually bring you everything you order (unlike many other AYCE places we've been to).
As for the waitstaff, some are definitely better than others but you're not limited to ordering from one person so if one of them isn't as helpful as you'd like, just flag down someone else.
We were all very impressed. Very fresh and tastes wonderful.
We ordered Take-Out and it was ready on time, good price, etc. etc.
We would definitely reccomend this restuarant.
Can't wait to eat in!
7A Platter feeds 3 people perfectly, 4 people with a side dish. Mind you, we eat a lot!
