We were ecstatic when Tang, the first Thai resto in Clarington, took over the Hojun space. And boy were we surprised to realise that not only was the food good, it was so darn good that it negated the need to make the trek into Toronto for great Thai.
We've eaten there likely more than 10 times.
I must single out one item: the coconut soups. They are by far -- BY FAR -- the best I've ever had. It's always fun to bring a first-timer there, and listen to their reaction. It's usually something like this, in a quiet voice, eyes glazing over: "My God... this is... incredible...".
Tang is our favourite resto within 30 minutes of us (we're Bowmanvillers). Prices are good, portions just fine, and (if you're reading this you probably already know) Thai food is so healthy! (no burgers and hot dogs for this family, thanks very much).

We love everything about Tang Dynasty! We've had thai food from Whitby, Pickering, and all over Toronto, and Tang Dynasty has the tastiest...hands down. But it's not just the food. The atmosphere is wonderful. When we go there it's like visiting friends, and it's been that way since our first experience. Jessica and her family go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. We're just thrilled to have such high quality food and service in our little town of Bowmanville.
