Liane Whittaker knows first-hand the impact a good-quality tea can have on one’s health. In 2012, her mother Joyce was diagnosed with cancer only a few months after Liane opened her tea store, Bella’s Teas, housed within her own health and fitness business, T-Zone. “Mom drinks white tea every day and her oncologist says she’s doing well,” Liane says.
It was an interest in how the popular beverage could assist in wellness that inspired Liane to start her tea store in the first place. At the time, she carefully researched the properties of the different varieties of the drink, and has since become something of an expert. “Today we stock more than 80 kinds of black, white, green and oolong teas as well as herbal infusions,” she says.
The teas are used as part of a full exercise and weight-loss program offered at T-Zone, but are also perfect if you’re simply looking to enjoy a high-grade tea. “We stock a number of organic teas prepared to a European standard, which is higher than the local standard, so you know you are getting an exceptional tea in both the organic and non-organic,” explains Liane. “In fact, all of the plantations where the teas are grown are audited a minimum of once annually.”
Since I started at T-Zone I have noticed I am not as tired as I used to be. Once I am done my workout I love that I can lie down on the same machine and massage my leg muscles.
Thank you T-Zone!
