When the Sea to Sky Gondola opened in Squamish in 2014, the attraction drew worldwide attention and visitors quickly began discovering the quaint, natural beauty of the region. On a busy street in the downtown core, The Salted Vine Kitchen + Bar offers tourists yet another reason to visit the historic town, and gives Squamish residents a delicious new local dining destination.
The intimate, Pacific Northwest eatery is the brainchild of industry veterans Pat Allan and Jeff Park. In 2015, Jeff and Pat sat down to discuss what they envisioned for the menu at their new restaurant, and both were drawn to the share-plate concept. “Both of us love how sharing plates with family and friends becomes a true bonding experience,” says Pat.
Since opening in summer 2016, The Salted Vine has been a hit with Squamish residents and visitors alike. The restaurant took off in part because its focus on seasonal ingredients and family-style dining truly fits with the town's strong sense of community, so say the locals.
