i need to have my jerk fix at least once a week and this is the best spot in Mississauga - trust me i've tried everything. don't expect the best service or atmosphere - that's not because they are rude or not nice, just seems like a lot of people are going in and out. Also, a few times they've mixed up my order, so make sure they get it exactly right.
I've also noticed a few times they over salted, but that's a few times in the many many times i've been there. Overall would highly recommend this spot.

My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)

Although they're famous for their chicken, we'll be going back for their fish (and maybe try the chicken for my 'no way I'm eating fish' husband). My son and I were looking for a quick bite for lunch after doing some shopping at the nearby Scholars Choice and found this place. Smelled soo good. As we didn't see a lot of prices or labels, my son ordered the Portuguese sausage sandwich and I lingered over the windows filled with mountains of fish, rice, potatoes and was served by a very pleasant and helpful young man. I asked about a particular dish and ended up ordering the amazing looking and super delicious cod with a side of potatoes, The server put two layers of potatoes in a good sized container, covered it with the huge portion of cod and then he began spooning a loving amount of the yummy sauce over the dish. As it really isn't a sit down place, we were hungry and ate there. I paid less than $20 and was in heaven. My son enjoyed his sausage but will definitely order the cod next time. Was surprised to read about 'grumpy' servers. Ours even thanked us for coming on our way out. Maybe because it was in the early Friday afternoon, we saw that customers were served quickly (looked like they ordered huge quantities ahead) and courteously. Definitely going back for that cod. Pssst...I overhead the guy tell someone its only available Fridays and Saturdays.

It was a foggy Friday 'nite & RIGHT after seeing the first 02 reviews, I ventured out w' my dog. Luckily it was not packed. I met 02 regulars & they said the place is usually packed on Fridays--maybe the fog is keeping them away. Can you believe this guy has been here for over 30 years & I thought I had tried each and every fish and chip place in Mississauga. One previous review commented on the excellent batter and I thought, no way, batter always has an after taste....nope....no after taste. I told the cook if I feel like driving this far again, I will be back, fer sure.

This is Port Credit's best kept secret. At one time, another business, now closed, was considered the place to eat F & C. I always thought there was a better place. HERE IT IS! Has more to offer than F & C, and their food has less oil, than the other restaurants. Try this and I'll bet you will love it also!

After reading mixed reveiws for Big Bens, hearing fantastic word around town and finding unbelievable
deals in the local news papers. It was time to check it out for myself. Over all I had a great experience. I had a Cesar salad as an app and a beef soup for my boyfriend. The salad was a classic nothing unusual and the soup was perfect, it was thick and hardy. It tasted like my grandmother made it straight out of the garden.
I had the one pc basa and chips, it was cooked to perfection! My boyfriend ordered a rare steak and got just that. The whole presentation of his meal came as a surprise. It was beautiful. A good portion of meat, veg and lovely mashed potatoes.
The service was great, our server was friendly, she made our visit welcoming but not over baring.
We will coming back to try breakfast, heard that weekend mornings are a hit.

I have been to Lousiana last Summer and left with a bad experiance and thought of not going back again.. since all my friends forced me to go i went with them really I felt the difference comparing to my last vist.. its been newly renovated and a beautiful patio to relax and have a beer to chill out with friends. Staff really friendly and they have variety of food menu to decide on. They have a plate called land and sea which comes with lobster, Steak and shrimps which really value for money and good quality i was really impressed with the servise provided and i spoke to the Manager of Lousiana he told me how this was earlier and the new management is really working on with food quiality and provide great customer service... I will definelty go to Louisiana again and do recommand to my friends... WELL DONE LOUISIANA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Excellent food made by people who care. The Chicken Roti is excellent. Spiced just right, and a good sized portions. The meal is fresh, made to order and the service friendly. My kids are now big fans of Caribbean food. The Doubles are also very good. The Jerk Chicken and Ox Tails are delicious. My family and I get take out here about once every three weeks. A neighborhood gem.

Very friendly, cool, hidden gem. We had a huge portion of jerk chicken, rice and beans. The prices are almost too good. Lunch, pop tax for $5.65. Food was tasty, but not real spicy. Good hot sauce on the side fixed that.
Comfortable, not fancy in any way.

This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation).
It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. It's fish and chips and it's GOOD.
(If it weren't for the location, I'd come back more often.)
