I think this place is amazing. Best breakfast food in all of Pickering and Ajax. Service is fast and friendly. Food is hot and prepared just to our liking. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. (Shame about the other review, I've never had a problem and I've been many times. Actually I'll never go to the Ajax one again. We've had excellent experiences with the food both times we have had it. Once was take-out and last night we dined in! This type of food is relatively new to me, but it's definitely something that my wife and I have enjoyed discovering! The service was a bit on the slow side but then again, we were surprised with how busy the place was on a Sunday night! That must say something about how good the food is! Once we got our food, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The inside was much nicer than I expected looking from the outside and the portions were large enough that my wife and I both had leftovers for lunch! I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 10 years now. I love Scrambles! My eyes are always perfect and so is my bacon, they have the best hash browns going. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. When I lived in Toronto I would drive here on Sundays just to east their specialty pancakes! Amazing! Pumpkin and strawberry rhubarb are my favorites! Pastas, it's two meals. Steak on a kaiser, top with some A1 steak sauce, you're biting into some deliciousness. Their menu specials are usually really good. I can't say enough good things about Fishbone Bistro. Warm ambiance, comfortable seating, and the service made us feel like we were the only table in the room (although the restaurant was fairly full). We had a flaming sausage to start - delicious. The specials were incredible. I ordered a dish that I can't remember the name of, but it was similar to a light seafood stew in an herb broth. Delicious, perfectly cooked food and the flavour was out of this world. Highly recommended! My husband had the whole sea bass. The owner, Pedro, deboned the fish at the table and explained some things about Portuguese cuisine. My son had the steak, and the presentation was like nothing I had seen before! I've been telling everyone I know to check this place out. We didn't have time to try dessert (an excuse to go back)! Hearty portions, excellent wine, beautiful decor.... you have to try it!
