Hmmmm. Starting to see somethings. I brought my dojo (I'm an instructor) here for our annual event. 11 of us. Reservations were made. The put us in a table for 10. To their assist they did change that, Food was a little overdone that night, the forgot our orders I had to re order items 4 or 5 times, wait times lagged quite a bit. Had to ask for water or coke a number of times as well. My students were visibly fustrated. For a 200$ meal this should have been dealt with better. Too bad really now I will see about other places. If you read my reviews below I qwas fond of the place, but I felt like I didn't exist that night.
I get the feeling after reading the reviews, for at least the food management must have changed. having been to Asia, I am particular about my sushi/sashimi etc. Now not too many places in Durham stack up. Kakemono/Tokushima 2 of the ones that 2. I did try this place out, not bad really. Good for larger groups. I;ve been there a few times. Always been polite and the food consistant. I think Toku has better dynamite rolls. They do miss a lot I will agree with that but what do you do, you put it on the next sheet. Or tell them they will bring it. I have a dojo party there in January there are 20 of us for supper that night. Maybe my views will be less of the place after that we shall see.
Honestly...the service may be kinda bad...and they may get quite a bit wrong...but its the only sushi in town that I will eat. The food is amazing quality (when you get it). I absolutely love it. I go quite often, and I tell people to go there. Yes, they need to amp up the service...but compared to how great the food is, the service is not really that important lol :)
My friends are connoisseur of sushi and we frequent sushi restaurant in the Durham area often . go believe sushi has become one of our favorites . Not only for the price but the quality of the food!
I have ordered take out from Go Believe a few times in the last couple of years. I stopped ordering from there, as there was ALWAYS a mistake in our order. Today, I thought that I would give them another try. They made several mistakes in the billing of our order, which was resolved in the restaurant after it took me 5 minutes to explain what I had ordered. I had ordered a lunch combo, and asked for a substitution of rolls, which I was told, (and was) charged a dollar for. When I returned to work, they had not substituted them. I called the restaurant and voiced my concerns, and was put on the phone with a girl who just said "ooohhhh" and nervously giggled. That was it. Travel 3 minutes west on hwy 2 and GO TO SUSHI MOUNTAIN!!! Much better sushi as well!
This place is great, but I think it's declined a mite bit since it's opened. Of course, this is a fairly minor quibble, as the "opening year" menu was massive and did manage to cater to a wide variety of Japanese, Chinese and Thai palettes. Now, however, it's fairly similar to many other sushi houses in Durham. Don't get me wrong, this is not a dig, but I believe that it's lost a little of its original charm. Otherwise, the food was nice and hot, or cold, and delivered with speed in mind. Would definitely return.
My family and I had dinner at go believe sushi and we all enjoyed the food! We highly recommend the Alaska rolls and spicy crab rolls! My sister enjoyed the tempura shrimp and tempura banana. The service here is very friendly and serves fast. We are looking forward to coming again on Mother's Day.
we've been to this restaurant several times, our family all love here, nice enviourment, very fresh food and good service, we are going to have a party on here.
