Self-billed as a "clique of creative thinkers,” Cabal Social is an ongoing experiment in hospitality and good times. Wishing to bring together culinary arts, fine arts and mixology, Borzoo Mehrzad opened this restaurant/bar/event venue hybrid in March of 2013.
"What was important for me was to experiment, to try different things before choosing a single concept," he explains. "I found the space, spent a good eight months renovating it and finally opened under the name Sazerac. We tested a few things, saw what worked and what didn't and laid out a plan to integrate all that. In March of 2013, Cabal was born out of that experiment, and it became what it is now: a restaurant and lounge that welcomes artists, musicians and other performers as well as private events. I like places where you can appreciate a lot of things at the same time, be them food, music, art, cocktails. You have all of these here."
