We went to the Little Turkish Village a couple of months ago with another couple and loved it! We had no idea what to expect, but had heard great things. It was VERY busy, but we had made reservations thankfully. We ordered 3 different appitizers to share, and each ordered a different meal, followed by dessert and some drinks. All in all it was a great experience. Quick service and attentive staff. We would definitely return here for dinner!
I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. I have brought many friends, who have made it a favourite as well. The food is not too spicy, in fact I find it flavourful, fresh and plentiful. Its a great restuarant run by a really nice guy. I almost feel like I am eating at a friends when I go here, the atmosphere is so welcoming. My only concern is that one day I wont be able to get in bacause it is so popular.
Love this restaurant. We are always pleased with the excellent food, the service, the family atmosphere. Friendly neighbourhood eatery where we are always made to feel welcome. And the prices can't be beat!!

I am surprised to see people indicating the food was too spicy. I have had many of the items on the menu and each perfectly spiced. All items have been cooked so they are juicy. The service was excellent.
I have visited this restaurant often throughout the years and have reserved for this evening. I have also called for take-out because the food is so good. The name is deceiving but the food is worth the visit.

Though the name claims to be Turkish, the food is not really Turkish. We visited it this place per the request of my in-laws who came in for a visit (they're Turkish). I wasn't aware of this restaurant prior to their visit, but they insisted to try a Turkish restaurant in Ottawa.
In conclusion, they were disappointed. The staff are friendly and polite, but the label is misleading. This is as far from Turkish food. Just because they make what looks like Shish does not make it Turkish.
Therefore, i'd not recommend this restaurant based on misleading name.
I was very surprised to see the bad review for this restaurant.We have gone several times and have only had excellent experiences. The food is fresh and perfectly cooked and the owner is gracious and charming. I have had slow service when the place was packed but I can't belive that someone would call the portion sizes small!! or too spicy, for that matter...
I have had several dishes and have only compliments...I can't commment if it is real turkish food or not as I've never been to Turkey but it is excellent quality well prepared food for a good price.
Very disappointed, the food was not real turkish food, a cocktail of mediterranean cuisine and very very spicy to the point you can barely taste the dish
normal portions are very small and you can order smaller portions on the menu. we got a lot of attention from the waiter but the service was average. Price was not so reasonables, wine was cheap. very overrated restaurant

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 13 years now and I never get tired of the menu. The food is always fresh and delicious. They even offer small portions of some of the more popular dishes and you don't have to be under 12 years old to order them :o)
This has to be the best places I've ever had a meal. The food was cooked perfectly, the taste was amazing. I can't even describe what it was but it was heavenly. This is a place that just gets it right. Like a good restaurant works by making money off their wine and drinks because the food isn't as expenssive as most restaurants, but the quality is ten times higher than you'd expect. I'm returning to this palce at least one to two times a month, with a big appetite. Also the waiter is in tune with EVERYTHING happening in the retaurant, only 30 minutes after sitting down for my meal, the owner/waiter already knew my name. Just something a bit more comforting about the place that makes me want to return. Great owner, great food, great times. Deserts are amazing too.
