My husband and I were excited to learn that they offered dim sum on weekends and we were not disappointed when we went last Saturday.
The items we ordered were served quickly, they were hot and most were really tasty. The only thing neither of us really cared for was the BBQ pork buns - which weren't bad, we just found them to be a little too sweet. I recommend the fried "triangle" pork dumplings, they were especially delicious!
The atmosphere isn't great but it isn't terrible. I actually appreciated that there was some effort put into the decor (the kimonos as curtains on the booths were a nice touch) but the pine tree air fresheners were a little out of place.
The prices were very reasonable, we ate well and left satisfied for $20 (tax and tip in). We'll definitely try their other dishes, and look forward to returning for dim sum.
Satisfy your appetite for authentic Chinese flavours with a trip to Lee’s China Garden. The price is right, the food is full of flavour, and the service has charm. The owners speak broken English, but the Szechuan cooking is better than anything else I’ve had in the city. Never before have I been seduced by kung pao chicken: the chilies are blackened, and the peppers and onions are sautéed to sweet perfection. The green beans in black bean sauce are gloriously fresh with just to right balance of crunch and salty softness.
If you are looking strictly for atmosphere – this is not the place for you. The dining room is strangely deserted; all the more room for my friends and I to relax and enjoy the undivided attention of the owner, his wife, and son!
