The food is decent, but I had a really terrible time with my coworkers.
I sincerely believe they forgot our order, because people who came in after us in similar sized groups received their food first. The cashier told us to wait 25 minutes, but we didn't get food until 50 minutes, and this was after asking the waitress what'd happened to our food. Oh, the waitress also asked us what we'd ordered as well. One person in my group finished his meal before the third person received his food.
Well, where to start...... I was told I should try this gem at the Fraser Park. An established restaurant under German management. I made a mistake....I assumed GERMAN must be 100% clean, appealing and incredible perfect. I had difficulties to find this restaurant since nothing points you there. The entrance which looks like the back loading area seems to be shared with a junk yard. Mini Vans for sale and a German BMW from around 1950 or so are parked in front of the restaurant. The patio looks like City Hall should do an inspection to check if the structure is still sound.
Once you get in you are shocked. At least I was. This does not look like a restaurant. Antique shop? Old drums and a piano at the entrance. Ceiling height 20 feet or more. Everything is dark. Not appealing and I am not sure if everything is clean.
HOWEVER, I found myself lining up here with another 20 guys. The place was packed. I patiently waited and thought maybe the food will blow me away. Surprisingly, yes the German meat plate I guess it was called was very good.
The guys I shared my table with told me that they go here for years to grab their lunch.
The restaurant even in an industrial area is open on Saturdays - this speaks for it's popularity.
I am just not sure why someone who runs such a successful business does not invest in a total restaurant make over.
Try it out !
